April 20 The Doody TwinsI thought I would get back to blogging with some insightful wisdom gained from my recent readings and listening to online sermons. But alas, the antics of my children win out. Maybe I'll have a deep thought that I can express AT THEIR COLLEGE GRADUATIONS!!!
Chris Griffith has referred to Debbie & Aaron's twins as "The Doody Twins" because of hearing about the time when Debbie came in the kitchen and asked if someone had given Philip and Nathan chocolate pop tarts, and Micheal told her no, they were all out. Then there was the time she thought someone had a really smelly diaper in the van as they were driving down the interstate, but when she got home realized it was because the diapers had been "unloaded" all over the car seats! I have friends in Smyrna with twin boys who used the hard contents of THEIR diapers as crayons to draw pictures on the wall for their mom and dad. My friend Coni took a picture and saved it as her desktop on her computer. I'm sure to remind her that when the boys were quiet and she was working, it was probably time to go check on them. Well, I thought (hoped, prayed, etc.) that my twins would be different because I don't have two boys, but one of each.
Yeah right!
Little Miss Emily is the culprit in my house. Last Saturday I was upstairs when the babies woke from their naps, and so Aaron went in to get them up. He starts yelling, "Oh NO! Janelle come here!" I thought, "great, someone has thrown up again and I won't get to go to church tomorrow!" But no, Emily had a poopy diaper and got a head start on changing herself. She had unsnapped her onesie and taken off her diaper and set it aside in the crib. Aaron was afraid she had stepped in it, but she was neat that day. Fast forward to Wednesday morning. I had dressed the babies and they were in the play pen. I was upstairs paying bills with both of them completely in eye sight. Emily was much too quiet. I come downstairs and see the brown "paint" all over her legs. She had fished into her diaper was using the contents as body paint and maybe clay, I don't know! There were piles around her and an evenly spread smear on the carpet. I just started screaming! I called Aaron and yelled, "We officially have the Doody Twins!" He asked what happened and when I told him he said I needed to call Servpro to come clean the carpets.
This must be the theme because the other day Elijah was crying and Lydia said, "Maybe he needs to poop." I told her that he already did, and she said, "Well Mommy, if he does again, I know you'll be responsible." LOL Yes, that seems to be my new job title. When other kids made fun of my name when I was 7 or 8 years old they weren't far off -- Janelle Cooper Pooper Scooper! LOL
Hope everyone has a clean day! God bless. April 10 QuoteI read this today and thought it was good -
